Sunday Free Stream: Eegah (1962)

Hey Gang.

Here we are again with the free stream with a classic. It's one of the most famous Arch Hall joints. Featuring a real young Rich Keil and Arch Hall Jr. strumming a guitar and trying to be Elvis. Keep an eye out for a cameo by cult film director Ray Dennis Steckler, who was working as Hall's "go to" man at the time.

Enjoy!

Lost Woods (2012)

A bunch of friends get together for a week long camping trip in the Pacific North West as a way of catching up with one another. They end up in a vicious struggle with a ferocious sasquatch.

This was a decent movie. It was straight to the point in what it wanted to do and got there effectively. They took time to develop characters at a meaningful pace and developed some relationships to the point that you cared for them. A rare commodity in today's independent horror market. They established the 'squatch as menacing and as more of a real threat then just another man in a monkey suit.

With that being said, there are some flaws. They've put a subplot in there that really doesn't fit in the whole film. When they hit on it, it just grinds the movie to a slower pace. This could have been worked in better in the development process as well as being some of the characters major flaw. There were parts in the development that should have been shown and not told to get a more powerful reaction in the overall story as well. Then the ending leaves many loose ends. Almost to many to grap. There should have been a better way to tie them all u in one well wrapped package. Positive or negative.

If you have a free Sunday with nothing better to do or you're using up a sick day, this would be at least a nice way to waste your time.

You can find it on Vudu, Amazon and Amazon Prime.

Sunday Free Stream: Track of The Moon Beast (1976)

Hey Kids! Every Sunday, I'll lurk around the old public domain movie files over at The Internet Archive and I look for the weirdest, funniest and ridiculous movies in their servers. And then I share them with you....the people.

The first one I got is an interesting story of moon rocks and were-mooninites called Track of The Moon Beast. The script was co-written in a weekend by Bill Finger, co-creator of Batman and co-creator of Green Lantern. It was an interesting idea whose only problem was budget.

Enjoy!!
